Handmade Soap
Everything I use in my bath & body products comes from nature. I believe that ingredients are everything! All botanicals, clays and oils come from around the world, and most herbs are organically grown in southwest Florida. It is a magical experience mixing all the different aromas, colors and natural ingredients that make my unique soap, balms and butters. All my soap is air dried, or "cured" for 4 - 6 weeks. All balms and butters are made fresh weekly in small batches
100% Pure, natural and organic handmade bath and body products. No Additives. No Preservatives. No Chemicals. No Animal Fats. No junk and definitely No Animal Testing.
At Lather and Love, I make REAL handcrafted soap. And, it's not just any soap... it is soap that will make your skin feel like you want to LIVE in it! We believe that our is the most gentle, silkiest, most lather-rich soap you can buy! I use organic unrefined shea butter in my products because of its rich moisturizing properties and how it works to improve skin tones. Further enhancing the benefits of my products are the inclusion of organic olive, coconut, palm (sustainable only!), sunflower, avocado and castor bean oils. Used together, these skin-nourishing organic oils and ingredients work to create wonderfully cleansing and luxurious creations that soften and enhance the natural texture of your skin.
My soap products are made using the traditional cold process soaping technique. Each batch is unique and is a complete work of art. The design and color of soap varies from batch to batch - - even though the ingredients could be the same. Always different, always a mystery until it's out of the mold. And then, always an exciting and joyful surprise! Weight and size of soap depends on the mold and the thickness the soap is cut, but my average bar is between 4.7 - 5.8oz.
Because you're going to want to enjoy every last piece of your soap bar, I suggest that you keep your soap in a well drained soap dish and keep your soap out of the stream of water in the bath or shower!
Palm Oil - There is so much controversy about the devastating effects that unsustainably harvested Palm oil has had on the rainforests in Borneo and Sumatra, resulting in unbelievable cruelty and suffering to the Orangutans - these are the only two places on earth where these incredibly gentle, intelligent creatures live. In my soaps, I use only Organic CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLY harvested palm oil from South America, grown in a mixed species environment with legume under story to provide nitrogen specific plants to host, and feed beneficial insects. Residue from the oil pressings is also returned to the groves to provide nutrients. The farm is in a region of the Amazon that was cleared by previous owners 30-40 years ago, and the re-establishment of a forest crop has brought back many species of birds and other plants and animals. While not as diverse as native Rain forest, it is a vast improvement over grasslands. My USA Palm oil suppliers are members of RSPO as well and they are very conscious of where they purchase their oils, always seeking conscientious growers and products without harming the environment and nature.
